Geri Hall Clinical Leader in Residence Program
The Geri Hall Clinical Leader in Residence program was established in 2023 to support leadership development for DNP students in the College of Nursing. Students in this role lead projects focused on interprofessional collaboration, innovation, and community partnerships with the priority of maintaining and updating the Geri Hall Progressively Lowered Stress Threshold (PLST) Model Repository.
Research Residencies
We have hosted graduate students for semester-long research residencies, allowing them to apply the skills they are learning in courses to real Center problems and questions.
Summer PhD Intern
Established in 2023, the Csomay Center's Summer PhD Intern position is designed to provide a valuable learning experience in gerontology. Students in this role provide a wide range of operational and administrative support duties while gaining leadership, student engagement, and research experience.
Undergraduate Students
Csomay Summer Scholars
We partner with the Office of Undergraduate Research to offer summer research experiences for undergraduate students. Students are matched with faculty mentors conducting research related to older adults.
Applications are typically accepted March-April.
Student Gero Nurse Clinicians (SGNC)
A volunteer program designed to introduce prelicensure nursing students to aging care in the community and formal care settings. Through participation in various events, students will gain hands-on experience and knowledge in aging care while earning recognition for their dedication.
Undergraduate Internship
The Undergraduate Internship at the Csomay Center offers students an opportunity to explore gerontology through hands-on involvement in center programs, events, and outreach activities. Interns gain practical experience in student engagement, community support, and aging-related initiatives while contributing to the Center’s mission to improve the lives of older adults and caregivers.
