Mental Health & Counseling

Local access to mental health and disability services for adults and children with severe mental disturbances are provided by mental health and disability service regions, regardless of the location of their residence.
Supportive services are key to helping older adults maintain their long-term independence. With the help of access services (e.g., transportation, case management, information and assistance), in-home services (e.g., personal care, chore and homemaker assistance) and community services (e.g., mental health services, adult day care), individuals can prevent early institutionalization and instead continue living at home or in their community of choice.
